We designed this gearbox as a more durable upgrade to the stock Power Wheels 7R gearbox. It was designed with speed junkies in mind. The gearcase material is less flexible, keeping gear mesh true under torque. The grease channels in the housing keep the gears and shafts cool to prevent meltdowns. We use our proven race grease in all Phoenix gearboxes (grease color can vary). The gears are made of a much denser nylon filament for the most durability ever. Adding the optional hardened steel first gear that runs on ball bearings will maximize your durability and is recommended for 24v use!

The hardened steel tooth first gear option can only be used if you are using our motors with 15 tooth hardened steel pinions. All other pinions will be destroyed.
You can use our Stage V gears in this gearbox as well.

The nylon first gear is compatible with standard and hardened steel 15 tooth pinion gears including those on factory stock motors.

Select which your vehicle has: a Solid or Hollow rear axle:
Solid: Arctic Cat, Wranglers, Cadillac Escalade, Mustang, Corvette, McQueen, Porsche, some quads
Hollow: Hurricane, Dune Racer variants, F150, some quads

This is for one gearbox. You can use one Phoenix and one 7R in a vehicle.
